IEC 60601-2-4:2010+A1:2018 establishes particular basic safety and essential performance requirements for cardiac defibrillators. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2002. This edition constitutes a technical revision, revised to structurally align it with IEC 60601-1:2005 and to implement the decision of IEC SC 62A that the clause numbering structure of particular standards written to IEC 60601-1:2005 would adhere to the form specified in ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2:2004. The aim of this third edition is to bring this particular standard up to date with reference to the third edition of the general standard through reformatting and technical changes. This consolidated version consists of the third edition (2010) and its amendment 1 (2018). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.

IEC 61747-40-5:2018(E) is a mechanical performance testing procedure for cover glass used in electronic displays in mobile devices. This document focuses on the measurement of surface impact energy required to fracture a specimen due to the collision of sharp particles onto the surface of a cover glass. This is achieved by dropping a ball on a sheet of coated abrasives placed on the cover glass, which is rigidly supported. The failure mode is associated with damage introduction via sharp contact. Crack propagation is enhanced by central tension in the case of strengthened glass. This failure mode represents one of several field failure modes observed in mobile devices.

IEC 62325-301 Ed. 2.0 b:2018 : Framework for energy market communications - Part 301: Common information model (CIM) extensions for markets

$

0
IEC 62325-301:2018 specifies the common information model (CIM) for energy market communications. The CIM facilitates integration by defining a common language (i.e. semantics) based on the CIM to enable these applications or systems to access public data and exchange information independent of how such information is represented internally. The object classes represented in the CIM are abstract in nature and may be used in a wide variety of applications. The use of the CIM goes far beyond its application in a market management system. This new edition of IEC 62325-301 contains support for demand-side communication within a wholesale market. The IEC 62325-301 additions include support for demand-side resource registration and enrollment of a market participating resource as well as support for deployment and performance evaluation of demand side resources. A new package has been included in this edition of IEC 62325-301 to support environmental (weather) data.

IEC 80601-2-49:2018 applies to basic safety and essential performance requirements of multifunction patient monitors, hereafter referred to as ME equipment or medical electrical systems. This particular standard applies to multifunction patient monitors intended for use in professional healthcare facilities as well as in the emergency medical service environment or the home healthcare environment.
The scope of this document is restricted to ME equipment or medical electrical systems intended for connection to a single patient that has two or more physiological monitoring units.
For purposes of this document, a pregnant mother and her fetus(es) are considered a single patient.
This document does not specify requirements for individual physiological monitoring units such as ECG, invasive pressure and pulse oximetry. The particular standards related to these physiological monitoring units specify requirements from the perspective of stand-alone ME equipment. This particular standard addresses the additional requirements related to multifunction patient monitors. Multifunction patient monitors can be integrated into other ME equipment or medical electrical systems. When this is the case, other relevant standards also apply.
This document does not apply to implantable parts of multifunction patient monitors.
This first edition cancels and replaces the second edition of IEC 60601-2-49, published in 2011. This edition constitutes a technical revision to align with the current edition and Amendment to IEC 60601-1, new versions of collateral standards and amendments thereto. Major changes are in Clause 208 because many of the former requirements are now addressed by IEC 60601-1-8.

IEC TS 62257-8-1:2018(E) proposes simple, cheap, comparative tests in order to discriminate easily, in a panel of automotive flooded lead-acid batteries, the most acceptable model for PV individual electrification systems. It could be particularly useful for project implementers to test in laboratories of developing countries, the capability of locally made car or truck batteries to be used for their project. The tests provided in this document allow assessment of the batteries' performances according to the general specification of the project (see IEC TS 62257-2) and batteries associated with their battery management system (BMS) in a short time and with common technical means. They can be performed locally, as close as possible to the operating conditions of the real site. The document provides also regulations and installation conditions to be complied with in order to ensure the life and proper operation of the installations as well as the safety of people living in proximity to the installation. This new edition includes the following significant technical change with respect to the previous edition: increase of the applicable voltage levels and removal of the 100 kW power limit.
