This standard specifies the minimum equipment requirements for the performance, reliability, resilience, security and safety characteristics of the supervised premises transceiver (SPT) installed in supervised premises and used in alarm transmission systems (ATS). A supervised premises transceiver can be a stand-alone device or an integrated part of an alarm system.

VDE 0878-561-1 / DIN EN 50561-1 : Power line communication apparatus used in low-voltage installations - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement - Part 1: Apparatus for in-home use; (German version EN 50561-1:2013)

$

EN 50561-1:2013 specifies limits and methods of measurement of radio disturbance characteristics for in-home communication apparatus that uses the low voltage power installation as the transmission medium. The standard applies to equipment that transmits in the frequency range 1,7 MHz to 30 MHz. Procedures are given for the measurement of conducted and radiated disturbances generated by the equipment and limits are specified for the frequency range 9 kHz to 400 GHz. To avoid interference of other services by conducted unsymmetrical disturbances from communication terminals that are connected to low voltage power lines methods of dynamic power control of the transmission lelel and notching are specified. No measurements need to be performed at frequencies where no limits are specified.

It covers the administrative and operational functions of a SAR service; the governing framework of conventions, manuals, resolutions, circulars and other relevant documents; communication functions and facilities; risk analysis and risk management; the design, equipment and operation of maritime rescue co-ordination centres; SAR facilities; harmonization with aeronautical SAR services; public relations and SAR training.

ABMA 11:2014 : Load Ratings and Fatigue Life for Roller Bearings

$

After much discussion and debate within the United States bearing industry and user base, revisions have been made to ANSI/ABMA 11:1990 to make it more consistent with ISO 281 (Rolling bearings - Dynamic load ratings and fatigue life) and ISO 76 (Rolling bearings - Static load ratings). The ANSI/ABMA standards are now aligned with the rating calculations given in the ISO standards. In addition to updated rating calculations, the guidelines for the estimation of the required lubricant viscosity for the application and lubrication viscosity ratio have been included to assist the designer in lubricant viscosity selection.

This standard specifies the method of calculating the basic dynamic load rating of rolling bearings within the size ranges shown in the relevant ANSI/ABMA standards, manufactured from contemporary, commonly used, good quality hardened bearing steel in accordance with good manufacturing practice and basically of conventional design as regards the shape of rolling contact surfaces.

API RP 17W : Recommended Practice for Subsea Capping Stacks, First Edition

$

0
This document provides subsea capping stack recommended practices for design, manufacture, and use. The document applies to the construction of new subsea capping stacks and can be used to improve existing subsea capping stacks. The document can aid in generating a basis of design (BOD) document as well as preservation, transportation, maintenance, testing documents, and operating instructions.

This document presents recommendations for neither procedures nor equipment for containment systems that may be connected to a subsea capping stack. All equipment and operations downstream of the subsea capping stack are considered part of a containment system and are not within the scope of this recommended practice.

Annex A contains a discussion of possible subsea capping contingency procedures. Annex B contains example procedures for deployment, well shut-in and recovery of a subsea capping stack.

The purpose of the DocReq is to provide a basis to verify that selected, safety critical parts of the requirements of the applicable DNV rules and statutory regulations are complied with in the design of the vessel. A satisfactory document review is a prerequisite for assignment of DNV class and issue of statutory certificates. The document review shall be complemented by surveys and review of the client's quality system.

JEDEC JEP172 : DISCONTINUING USE OF THE MACHINE MODEL FOR DEVICE ESD QUALIFICATION

Over the last several decades the so called "machine model" (aka MM) and its application to the required ESD component qualification has been grossly misunderstood. The scope of this JEDEC document is to present evidence to discontinue use of this particular model stress test without incurring any reduction in the IC component's ESD reliability for manufacturing. In this regard, the document's purpose is to provide the necessary technical arguments for strongly recommending no further use of this model for IC qualification. The published document should be used as a reference to propagate this message throughout the industry.
